Khaptad trek is a journey to the far-western part of Nepal gleaming amid the infinite wealth of pristine natural beauty that the region boasts. This trek takes you through naturally and spiritually wonderful parts of Khaptad. It offers solitude and proximity to nature in such an ample amount that you might find coming back to the reality to be difficult and bore some. Though this place receives less number of visitors compared to other trekking routes of Nepal, it is undoubtedly one of the most intriguing and beautiful places in Nepal.

The 11-days Khaptad trek passes through Bajhang, Bajura, Doti, and Accham districts of Seti zone. The Khaptad region is very remote and undeveloped area, with very less human habitation. The green meadows overlook into the massive Mt. Api (7132m), Mt. Saipal (7030m) and Nalakankar Himal range giving a perfect horizon to the spectacular landscape. Apart from the natural beauty, Khaptad is very famous for Khaptad Baba, who is considered to be a master of religious and social philosophy. He is a well-known hermit, who meditated in this place for many years. He had discovered many medicinal plants for curing people. Apart from this, the Khaptad region has other places of religious significance too namely Saileshwori temple, Tribeni, Khaptad Daha, Kedardhunga, Mai than, SahashraLinga, etc. The best season to travel and trek in this region is during fall (September- November) or during spring (March-May). The harmony of this place will certainly bring peace and calmness to your mind and soul.
