  • Whichever season you are trekking to, you will be on the safe side if you carry along a four-season sleeping bag.
  • If possible do not pack weighty accessories like laptops, iPods, and other electronic gadgets as you will not be using them often in the trek. They only add a burden to your luggage.
  • If you want to reduce your costs on packing then you can rent some of the trekking gears fro USD1-10 from Thamel. And, you can submit the gears after using them.
  • Do not forget to carry Nepali currency with extra hand cash. Because you do not find ATMs in the mountains where you can withdraw money for transactions.
  • Do not forget to pack protein bars, chocolates at Kathmandu. You need them a lot during the trek but they are quite expensive on the trails. So, it is a good idea to buy them at a cheaper price in Kathmandu.
  • Pack extra hiking sandal so that you can use them whenever you have to take strolls around the tea houses. Or, you can use them when your feet get tired of the hiking boots.
  • Always pack the permits, your passport, visa document and travel insurance papers in your daypack. You need them often in various checkpoints on the trail route.
